In addition, we removed the outdated Zinsco panel and installed a 200 amp ABB electrical panel equipped with appropriately sized feeder breakers and a whole-home surge protector, aligning with code standards.

Lighting & Security Installation

The need for light upgrades throughout the home led to the removal of existing fixtures, followed by the installation of customer-supplied ones. We also deleted the tiki lighting in the backyard and installed a new switch in the bedroom for the light control. Additionally, we removed wires connected to the deleted spa, placed a doorbell transformer in the attic, and installed a customer-supplied Ring doorbell, along with a Ring floodlight camera on the back of the home.

The electrical panel contained cloth wiring with a thermoplastic coating in good condition, while unused cloth-wrapped wires were safely capped off.

Stove Circuit Repair

The stove tripped the breaker due to improper wiring. We discovered it was connected with 6/2 wire, lacking a neutral, with an unsafe ground-to-neutral jumper. After confirming the unit's requirements, we replaced the wiring with new 6/3 Romex to ensure proper functionality and compliance with safety standards. The stove is now properly configured for optimal performance.

Receptacle Replacement

Outdated receptacles posed a safety risk in the home, prompting us to remove all non-grounded three-prong receptacles and replace them with code-compliant two-prong options. We also corrected the breaker panel by replacing four 15 amp single pole breakers and a tandem 15 amp Square D Homeline breaker. Additionally, we repaired a bathroom receptacle and installed a GFCI for enhanced safety, along with installing a two-gang blank plate and rerouted wiring in the kitchen to maintain receptacle access.
